Justice for Parrot

November 2, 2011 by z3admin

WARNING – Graphic photo contained showing police officer holding Parrot on the ground.

I’m truly so disgusted by this story that I am at a loss for words.

What I will say is this – when a police officer chooses to be part of law enforcement they take an oath. This oath is a verbal contract binding them to uphold key principles related to integrity, character, honor and trust in service to their community.

Let’s for a moment quickly review what those little words mean in terms of police work.

Integrity – Having strong moral principles
Character – Moral qualities distinctive to an individual
Honor – High respect; esteem
Trust – Belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone
Community – Group of people living together in one place or area

Another part of their oath deals with being held accountable for their actions.

It is my hope, now that this officer is being exposed, that he will have the COURAGE to stand up and take responsibility for the unthinkable act of violence he committed against this terrified animal.

From Parrot’s Petition:

The dog was named Parrot. This was taken moments before Parrot was murdered by the cop. The cop drove his knee into the middle of Parrot’s back while stretching Parrot’s forelegs behind him, as one would do with an armed criminal. Without waiting to determine whether this technique would calm Parrot, the cop grabbed Parrot, lifted him off the ground, and brought him to the top of the concrete staircase. He threw Parrot over the banister, down twelve steps, and onto the concrete floor. Then, the cop stood at the top of the stairs, drew his weapon, and executed Parrot. Aaron, the animal’s owner, cannot recall the number of shots fired. Witnesses state that Parrot was not harming anybody and was simply frightened by the cop.

This just piss’s me off. ignorant fuck. Why do we have people who have no business in this situation command the situation. He should be held accountable. What an ass!
Christ this is a crime and should affect his carreer. dont think for a minute he treats humans differently.
You’re not qualified…why you here. Not just this instance. How bout the 5′ female police escorting a 6’6″ prisoner. The supervisor should be accountable.
      No accountability.

I say we take the cop, throw him down 12 steps, and execute him. Unlike the dog the cop has actually proven himself to be dangerous, so I figure it’s more than fair.

Did anybody get video footage of this? I have a hard time believing that the owner didn’t jump in between him and the cop, where was the dogs owner during all of this? If he witnessed this the cop should have given him a chance to restrain the dog before taking such drastic action. I feel bad for Pitbulls because they are exploited for there massive jaw pressure and muscle, stamina etc… It’s a shame because I had a pitbull for 13 years and she never attacked anybody or any animals not even our cat which bothered the crap out of her and even attacked her on occasion yet no matter how much trouble the cat was for her she would not attack her. I feel bad for the owner but if the owner had a pitbull in a city off of a leash then they are careless for doing so especially knowing that most people are ignorant to the fact that pitbulls are great dogs if raised with love and effecting. The fact that the cop was able to man handle the dog without getting attacked proves the dog was not much of a threat. I’m really sorry to hear about this.
